Meet Chris Griffiths

There’s a lot going on across our Circle Networks community and I wanted to help you get to know our leadership team.

Let me introduce Chris Griffiths, he runs our Tuesday afternoon online networking event Legendary Circle based in Leicester, but like all our events open to anyone around the country.

What do you like to do when you’re not working?

I am married with 3 children and we have a new cat so it’s busy at home! When not working you will find me involved with tennis, as a player, coach, chairman or just spectator I’m normally somewhere near a court.

What’s your reason why?

I have always been drawn to opportunities that allow me to help others where the current system is failing. The UK is lagging behind in its adoption of voice technology and I want to change that.

What is your role?

Founder and MD of Voicon, my role is to promote the benefits of utilising voice technology in business.

Who do you work with?

We specifically look to work with SME’s that have a B2C model, those that want to speak to their customers in a domestic environment can really benefit hugely. Whether it’s a solicitor wanting to provide valuable advice or a dentist offering a new booking process, the tech is here to make the process quicker and easier than ever before.

As well as businesses, we help charities address the problem of fundraising and recruiting volunteers. This new technology allows us to do both.

What does this involve?

Our process always starts off with listening, only by first understanding what challenges and pain points the customer has can we then start to put together the most appropriate solution.

It may be that a relatively small and simple solution is all that’s needed, for others a larger more complex solution will be required. Whatever the outcome we work closely with our customers to design and create a bespoke solution tailored specifically to their needs.

What’s your daily routine?

My day kicks off with the school run, followed by our morning daily team brief. Each day is then different  but is often filled with networking events, specifically Circle Networks, where I host Legendary Leicester. With so much networking I have a lot of 121’s to follow up with, for me this is where the real value of networking comes from so I make sure to invest my time accordingly.

Client visits and online meetings to design and plan our builds are mixed with internal meetings with our development team to make sure we are on the right track.

Sales and marketing activities, particularly on social media are scheduled.

Each day ends with a quick review and then target setting for the following day.

Dinner time is family time, all together around a table.

Evenings are for fun and exercise, plus acting in my second job as Dad’s taxi service.

How would your friends and family describe you?

I would like to think they see me as friendly, trustworthy and loyal, although I’m sure my children may use different language.

What’s happening in your business right now?

A lot! We are building a new website whilst continuing to develop our own voice skill on Alexa which is accessed by saying “Alexa, open voice consult”.

We have just recently made an investment into upgrading our server infrastructure to better support clients without the need for downtime during developments and we have just launched a brand new special offer which is exclusive to members of Circle Networks.

Try it out for yourself – on an Alexa device (or the app on your phone) – simply say “Alexa open Circle Members Offer”
