How 22 year old Jacob Scott Built His Confidence, Community, and Client Attraction Through Circle Networks

Like a lot of people, Jacob had bad experiences at networking events, said to himself never again, but he knew he needed to meet more people and build his confidence and business.

The version of Jacob that people see today is not the version he started with.

As Jacob puts it, “I was successful, but I was doing it all alone. I did not have the supportive community that makes growth feel easier.”

He had the talent. He had the views. He had an audience that kept growing. What he didn’t have was a structure around him that helped him talk confidently about his business, attract the right clients, or build meaningful relationships in the real world.

The conversation that opened things up

Jacob first heard about Circle Networks through Ed Ferris. Ed had worked with him on content creation and saw two things clearly. Jacob was extremely skilled and already achieving results that most creators would envy. Yet he was building without a community behind him.

Ed encouraged him to speak to our CEO Jamie. Naturally Jacob was hesitant. He had been to other groups and did not feel they suited him.

He is honest about that moment “I said yes to the call, but I was reluctant. I really didn’t think networking was for me.”

That first step turned out to be the start of a much bigger journey.

Support that strengthened what he already had

Once inside Circle Networks, Jacob noticed something different. People wanted him to succeed. They were invested in helping him develop the business side of his creative work.

One example was Naomi-Rose Everly a LinkedIn profile specialist who helped him to rebuild his profile on the platform.

Jacob recalls it clearly “My LinkedIn finally looked like the business I was trying to build, not the one I was trying to explain. That changed how I saw myself.”

Other members stepped in with guidance, ideas, and introductions. It gave him a sense of support he hadn’t felt before.

You might be talented. You might even be successful. But do you have people around you who help you grow?

Stepping into places he once avoided

Despite his online reach, Jacob had avoided large events. His past experiences left him uncomfortable, and he was convinced they were not for him.

Then he came to our annual conference Circle Networks Live in September.

He walked in expecting discomfort. He left with confidence.

He sums up the change “I thought I would feel out of place. Instead I felt welcome. I left feeling like I belonged in these rooms.”

That event set the tone for everything that had been changing.

He began introducing himself more clearly.
He explained his services with more confidence.
His self talk changed.

And with that, his client attraction changed too.

The small weekly practice that made a big difference

One of the big changes came from the short presentations at Circle Networks online events.

Jacob talks about this often “Those short presentations made me better at talking about my business. Every week I refined it, my confidence improved, and my client attraction improved too.”

Our Spotlight presentations helped him articulate what he does in a way that people understood. They turned a creative skill set into a clear service offering that others could refer with confidence.

How much would your confidence grow if you had a place to practise your message every week?

Viral reach, real business, and stronger relationships

Jacob’s online reach continues to rise. Pintsized Humour still pulls in more than 100 million views every month. That success was already in motion before Circle Networks.

What Circle Networks added was the business foundation behind the work.

  • He gained clients through referrals.
  • He met people who understood his strengths.
  • He received introductions that opened new doors.
  • He became more visible in the spaces that matter offline.

He puts it plainly “Circle Networks didn’t improve my skills. It helped me present it better. It helped with confidence, clarity, and client attraction. And I needed that.”

This all started from an introduction from Ed

Jacob’s success story isn’t about fixing weakness. It is about strengthening capability inside the right environment. He already had reach. What he gained was:

  • A supportive community
  • Confidence in business settings
  • Better articulation of his service
  • A wider referral network
  • More client opportunities
  • A renewed sense of direction

And all of that came from saying yes to a conversation he almost said no to.

A final thought for anyone reading this

If you have skill, talent, or potential that is not fully seen or supported, Jacob’s story offers a simple reflection.

“I was already successful. I just needed people around me. That is what changed everything.”

Circle Networks offers a free fourteen day trial so you can experience the community for yourself. Real conversations, real introductions, and real support that strengthen what you already bring to the table.

The same environment that helped Jacob feel more confident, more connected, and more client ready is open to you too.
